Smokey
I have had Smokey for about eight years. She is a West Highland terrier. She is very cute and funny. We throw a ball in the air and she sort of plays soccer and pushes it off with her nose. I guess my Mom taught her. The most annoying thing she does is bark!

How did I get her? When I was younger I couldn’t eat a lot a food. My Mom said if I could eat a whole sandwich in one sitting I could get a dog. So, I finished a sandwich one night–it was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on hallah bread–and after that my Mom said, "OK, you can get a dog," and I was very excited. My grandma picked it out. My grandpa wanted to get a male dog, but grandma said, "No, a female dog is better!" So that is how I got Smokey.

The Family Stone and Rumor Has It

Aniston I love going to the movies. I saw two movies recently. Rumor Has It was cute, but it was not my favorite film. Jennifer Aniston is in it.  I like her a lot. The Family Stone was really good. I like that one a lot. It was about this guy who brings his girlfriend home for Christmas. She was really uptight and his sister did not like her at all. And, it took a while for the family to get used to her. Here is the trailer.

Samphonessmall I was watching this tv show and this girl had a lips phone and I wanted it. So I got a lips phone, which is my very first phone. I was really little. I might have been nine or ten years old at the time. And then I just started collecting. I have maybe fifty phones! My parents don’t want me to collect any more phones, but I want to collect more of them. There are so many interesting phones out there. I have a French phone Michael and Marika gave me. I have a pay phone that my cousins Stephen and Danny gave me for my birthday. That phone is so cool. It is on my wall.

Lips_1 Rotary dial phones are OK but I don’t like them that much because they are hard to use. Some of my phones work and I like to use them. I got an Olsen Twins phone that I like a lot. The top is purple and bottom part is yellow. It says Mary Kay and Ashley on the bottom. I’ve had that one for a couple years.  Check out my virtual telephone museum.

Student of the month

Award I made student of the month in November 2005. How did I find out? Actually, we were on our way to Washington in the car and one of my teachers called me on my cell phone. And, she told me I made student of the month. I was so happy! I said, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" My parents were really proud of me. I got a certificate for that too and it is hanging in my room. To get student of the month I had to work really hard. I had to keep on doing my best. I just have to keep trying at school. The hardest part is history. I got this award not only for being a good student but also for all my work on the bake sales for raising money for Katrina.

Dean’s list

I made the Dean’s list last year! You have to get A or B+ or better to make the honor role. It means that I am studying really hard, getting good grades, and getting more blonde highlights! My Mom says that every time I get on the Dean’s list I get more blonde highlights. A lot of my favorite actresses have blonde hair so I wanted to get the highlights. Will I end up completely blonde? I don’t know.

How did I find out? One of the teachers at my school told me. I was in the stairwell. He said, "You made to the honor roll!" I was so surprised. I was happy and proud of myself. My parents were really happy for me. I got a certificate. It is in my room.

Studying for math test

This weekend I am studying for tests. Right now we are studying algebra. I am reviewing everything for the midterm: multiplying money and doing the mean, mode, median, and range, and order of operations. I’m pretty good in math, actually. I study for it. Alla and  Mom give me problems to do and then I try to figure it out. I’m getting really good grades on all my tests.
