DMF and The Yankees
In July, Daniel's Music Foundation –where I take music classes — had a chance to perform on Broadway. The Yankees charity, called Hope, sponsored the event, and as a surprise gave $10,000 to the foundation. It was an incredible experience. Here are pictures of me and Kate, my support person who was with me all day, coming out the stage door, and another with Kate and my dad Fred.
Summertime Fun!
This summer, I went to Maine with my parents, my aunt, and my cousins for a week and a half. (My cousin Lily and I worked on another music video, from Grease… not ready yet). After that, I took a trip to San Francisco for a week with an organization called Kids of Courage. One of the most amazing things I did there was pet a real-life elephant! Even though I was nervous and scared, I was excited at the same time. Unfortunately, I got sick a few days into the trip and ended up in the infirmary. However, I got a bouquet of flowers from Zac Efron!!!! The only problem with that, was that it didn’t come with any card, but it was still amazing. Even though I got sick, I had a really great time on the trip. I am glad to be home, though.
Graduation
Last week there was a graduation banquet for the school I have been at for the last two years. It was really a wonderful event, except I am a little sad to be finishing this great program. Here is a picture of me and my mom at the banquet, and another of me and Maya.
I will be continuing to work at the occupational therapy center, SPOTS, as well as the self-advocacy group, SANYS.
My cousin’s picture in Metro News
My cousin Steve took some pictures of Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street, and one got published in Metro News on Earth Day! I think Steve is a really really great photographer and he has taken some really great family pictures over the holidays. And I also want to congratulate him on doing such an awesome job on taking this picture of Oscar the Grouch.
I went to visit my friend Jamie today in the hospital who's been there for 80 days. She had some surgery, and she's in great spirits. I just found out from her that there are Gilmore girl books. She lent me the t.v. show The Flying Nun with Sally Field. It was so great to see Jamie today, and watch this show.
X-Rays in the ER!
I have been having a mysterious pain in my intestine and on Friday, Dr. Levy sent me to the ER to be sure that I wasn't in danger. Here is a picture of me getting an x-ray in the ER that my mom took.
Hang Out Spots
My school assignment was to take pictures of three cool hang out spots, and the places I chose were Bruno's, Aroma, and Silver Spurs. The reason I chose these hang out spots was because they are very close to my house and I really like their food. I've also been there before, so I'm familiar with these places. That's why I chose these three places for my assignment.
At Bruno's we took pictures of the outside and of the inside and of the food. As I walked in, it was crowded, and hard to get in with the wheelchair but it is really accesible to get around. This is the outside of Bruno's Bakery. You can sit either inside or outside, but I prefer the inside
Look. It's wheelchair acessible
This is a picture of some of the delicious food they have, but my favorite is the chocolate pie even though I don't have much of a sweet tooth. They also have regular lunch foods.
The next place we went to was Aroma, and we took pictures of the coffee mugs and the red chairs.
This is a picture of the outside of Aroma. It was accessible, but the doors were really heavy and hard to open.
This is the picture of one of favorite chairs, because I really love this color
The last place we went to was Silver Spurs. We took pictures of the chairs, the bar, and the owner of the restaurant whose name was Steve
This is the outside of Silver Spurs
This is a picture of the No Smoking Sign. I don't like it when people smoke in restaurants
This is the owner of the restaurant, Steve. They were really nice to us when we left and they said good luck with your assignment. They also held the door open for us.
Silver Spurs was my favorite place, because they were so sweet to us.

Trip to Los Angeles with Kids of Courage!
On July 11th I went on another Kids Of Courage Trip to L.A. for the second time. I was so thrilled to go with all my friends on this trip, like Perry Goldberger and Sam Landau from my old school, along with 100 other kids with different kinds of medical conditions. I was also excited to see my old counselor, Connie, from the first L.A. trip. They sent me all my Kids Of Courage stuff that I needed for the trip like t-shirts and special labels to put on my luggage. The flight left from Newark at 12:00 and my parents and Rachel Eisenberg brought me to the airport. My counselors were in LA so another counselor, Rachel Bols, sat next to me on the flight. She was so nice!!!
Me in NYC getting ready for the trip.
Once we landed in L.A. we went straight to our hotel and had dinner with Perry and my counselor Sara. After dinner there was a magic show with the amazing magician David Blaine who came on the flight with us. He hypnotized some counselors!
Here is me in my cool hotel room, on Shabbat.
During the trip we went to Hollywood BLVD and went to the wax museum and saw statues of Zac Efron, Eddie Murphy, Whoopi Goldberg, and some of my other favorite stars. Zac Efron's statue looked so lifelike!! I was just so excited to see it, because it felt like I was actually meeting him in real life.
This is me with my boyfriend Zac Efron (LOL)
Another fun activity was when we went to Knotts Berry Farm and I got to see a bunch of my favorite t.v. stars from Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. It was so amazing and they were so nice to all of us. I got all of their autographs
Here is a picture of me and Devin who's on a show called Ned's Declassified. He was so nice and friendly.
On the last day we went to Disney Land, but I spent the whole day in the infirmary and lost my glasses. In the infirmary they were really nice and took great care of me. Even though I missed out on Disney Land I wasn't too upset because I had been there before.
When we were in Universal Studios, I got to meet Curious George, Madagascar, and Zorro. I also went to the gift shop and looked around, but didn't buy anything
Here I'm with Curious George and my counselor Shani who was really amazing.
I returned from L.A. last Thursday and my parents picked me up at the airport. Here I am with Sara, one of my counselors, on the plane home, goofing around.
Last hug at the airport with my wonderful friend Perry!
I had such an amazing time on this trip and met a lot of great people. I love Kids of Courage!! I'm really looking forward to the next trip!!!!!!!!!!!!
